ABOUT US

We are Assembly Required #39102, a FIRST LEGO League community team from the Edison and Ford Winter Estates in Fort Myers, Florida. Established in 2018, we have earned a bid to the State Tournament each year, since, but with the Covid-19 pandemic interrupting the 2019-2020 season and canceling our 2020-2021 season, we only got to experience that level of competition last year, when we won the top Innovation Project Award! We also won BOTH the 2022 and 2023 West Florida Regional Championship and the coveted bid to the FIRST World Championship in Houston, Texas, for the past two years, to compete amongst the top 108 FLL teams from 59 countries. This year we WON the Core Values World Champion Award!

This year, the remaining two team members of the team who did not age out or level up, joined forces with our mentee team members from last season. Leah chose to stay to lead the team with members ranging from 5th to 9th grade, and we are enjoying mentoring a new rookie team!

We are working to share the love of robotics with more students, including those whose visual impairments may make it more challenging for them to participate in FIRST LEGO League. Project and robot work is underway, so follow us on our journey through the Masterpiece season!
